Lunch Lecture: PhD's

Welcome to the unique world of PhD experiences!

Did you ever consider pursuing a PhD after completing your master’s degree? Probably not. Perhaps due to an unclear idea about what the PhD journey really entails.  You might think it is reserved for excellent students who graduated cum laude, or that an invitation from a professor is required. Well, then we have some good news for you: all you need is a relevant background, a master’s degree, and English proficiency. So, actually every one of you will be able to apply for a PhD position at the Transport and Planning department!

Now, of course, you want to know what a job position as PhD candidate entails. What would you actually do all day? But also, what are potential career steps after obtaining a PhD degree? To answer these questions and many more, we have invited four current and former PhD candidates of Transport and Planning to share their experiences. They will pitch their PhD projects, connecting the topics to the TIL and TTE master tracks. Of course, they are open to addressing any remaining questions during the Q&A session.

Looking forward to seeing you!
