Masterclass: Research as a project

During your MSc thesis project or your PhD project you are your own manager and project leader. It can be challenging to finish your project successfully  within the given time limit. This is the topic of the third Masterclass T&P/TIL: "Research as a project".  We will discuss how to organize, (time) manage, and plan your research as a project. The Masterclass will be held on Wednesday 7 December, from 15:45 to 17:15 in room 3.02. It is intended for all MSc and PhD students of TIL and T&P, T&P staff members are cordially invited as well.   
 
Speakers
Thomas Schreiter (PhD student) will present some of his research work on road traffic control in the Rotterdam harbor area and tell about how he manages his PhD as a project.
 
David de Jong (MSc student) will present his MSc research on road traffic control using a macroscopic fundamental diagram and in particular his experience with managing his MSc project.
 
Gerard Martens (from Arane) will give his view on (MSc) research as a project. He has been involved as a supervisor in several MSc projects and will share his view on organizing, planing and managing these projects.
The language of the Masterclass is English. After the Masterclass, you are invited for drinks (sponsored by TIL).
